The unseasonably cold air mass that spread across Western Wyoming overnight deposited several inches of snow in the higher mountains and flurries in Star Valley as well. Flurries are continuing today across the valley as can be seen in the views from the Afton and Bedford respectively,
Skies will clear early tonight as high pressure moves in resulting in temperatures dropping below freezing by midnight much of Star Valley. Temperatures will bottom out in the colder valley locations near the Salt River in the low 20s by sunrise with even typically warmer locations such as Star Valley Ranch experiencing freezing temperatures.
Appropriate protection is likely needed for cold sensitive vegetation.
