July was dry and warm across all of Star Valley.  Rainfall was limited to a few days when scattered showers occurred. While there were no stations that reported even an inch of rain for the month, it was not bone dry as most valley locations experienced a few showers. Note there were more substantial amounts just west of Star Valley

Elsewhere in Wyoming it was a drier than normal July except for areas of the far east and north portions where some amounts over one inch were reported.

The following temperature graphs for both Afton and Bedford show that the month had warm days and cool nights as is typical of summer in Star Valley.  No dramatic extremes occurred.

There were no reported minimums below freezing for the month.  The coldest reported was 35 at the Double L Ranch on July 6th.

The warmest observed was at Etna Elementary on July 22nd when the mercury topped out at 98.

The only significant wind event occurred on July 27th when a thunderstorm wind gust knocked over a few trees in the Star Valley Ranch area.   Gusts of 45 mph occurred at the Star Valley Ranch weather station with this storm.
