...MORE SNOW AND WIND FOR THE WESTERN MOUNTAINS...

A SERIES OF STORM SYSTEMS WILL IMPACT THE WESTERN MOUNTAINS
THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK. THE NEXT SYSTEM WILL MOVE IN TONIGHT AND
BRING A PERIOD OF SNOW AND GUSTY WIND TO THE WESTERN MOUNTAINS
THROUGH SUNDAY. AN EVEN STRONGER SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO IMPACT THE
AREA SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY. SNOWFALL FROM THE SYSTEM TONIGHT
THROUGH SUNDAY WILL LIKELY PRODUCE 3 TO 6 INCHES ACROSS MUCH OF
THE WESTERN MOUNTAINS WITH LOCAL AMOUNTS TO 8 INCHES IN THE
HIGHEST ELEVATIONS. SOME GUSTY SOUTHWEST WIND 15 TO 25 MPH WITH
GUSTS OVER 40 MPH OVER EXPOSED RIDGES AND PEAKS WILL CREATE AREAS
OF BLOWING OR DRIFTING SNOW.

THE NEXT SYSTEM WILL MOVE QUICKLY IN SUNDAY EVENING AND CONTINUE
THROUGH AT LEAST MONDAY MORNING. SNOWFALL OF 5 TO 10 INCHES WILL
BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS SYSTEM ALONG WITH INCREASING WIND WITH COLD
FRONTAL PASSAGE ON MONDAY. RAIN WILL ALSO LIKELY CHANGE TO SNOW IN
THE LOWER ELEVATIONS OF THE FAR WEST WITH SOME ACCUMULATION LATER
SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING.

STAY TUNED FOR FUTURE UPDATES ON THE RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER
CONDITIONS IN THE FAR WEST OVER THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS. HUNTERS AND
TRAVELLERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR MORE SNOW...WIND AND SLICK
MOUNTAIN ROADS ALONG WITH MUDDY OFF ROAD TRAVEL.
