WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

.INCREASING WEST WIND AND FRESH SNOW COVER WILL RESULT IN
CONSIDERABLE BLOWING SNOW AND VERY STRONG WINDS OVER SOUTH PASS
BEGINNING THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT. THE STRONGEST
WINDS ARE EXPECTED LATER TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY. A MAJOR WINTER
STORM WILL IMPACT THE FAR WEST MOUNTAINS AND VALLEYS TUESDAY
THROUGH WEDNESDAY WITH SNOW AND STRONG WIND.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RIVERTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL DEVELOP LATER TUESDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE
  THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL LIKELY BE
  TUESDAY NIGHT.

* SNOWFALL...5 TO 9 INCHES WITH THE HEAVIER AMOUNTS ON THE NORTH
  END OF THE VALLEY INCLUDING ALPINE...BEDFORD...STAR VALLEY
  RANCH...THAYNE AND ETNA.

* WIND AND VISIBILITY...SOUTH WIND 20 TO 30 MPH TUESDAY AFTERNOON
  AND 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH TUESDAY NIGHT AND
  WEDNESDAY. VISIBILITY WILL BE REDUCED TO UNDER ONE QUARTER MILE
  AT TIMES IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

* MAIN IMPACT...SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL CREATE VERY LIMITED
  VISIBILITY AT TIMES AS WINDS AND SNOW INCREASE LATER TUESDAY
  INTO TUESDAY NIGHT. ROADS WILL BECOME SLICK AND SNOW COVERED
  WITH DRIFTING SNOW CREATING DRIFTS ACROSS THE ROAD.
