Flooding Potential Begins Next Week in Star Valley

...Significant low elevation snowmelt expected over Star Valley and
Jackson Hole Tuesday through Thursday of next week...

Afternoon temperatures are expected to be in the middle to upper
40s Tuesday and Wednesday of next week over Star Valley and Jackson
Hole. Rain is also forecasted over Jackson Hole and Star Valley
Thursday before turning to snow Thursday night.

Significant snowmelt at elevations below 7500 feet is expected
Tuesday through Thursday as a result of the forecasted warmer
temperatures and rain. Flooding of low lying areas, culverts, and
small streams will occur as a result of the excess snowmelt runoff.

People living in Star Valley and Jackson Hole should prepare for flooding
of low lying areas as well as flooding of basements.
