I am a retired meteorologist after 46 years in the National Weather Service. At the age of six I experienced a rare snowfall in Claremont California. That was the beginning of a lifelong interest in weather. Education: B.S. and M.S. degrees in Meteorology from the University of Utah. Work Experience: Summer Trainee (Bakersfield CA-1962 and Los Angeles CA-1963). Lab Instructor- University of Utah 1966-67 National Weather Service Career: Seattle WA-Observer 1967-69 Phoenix AZ-Lead Forecaster 1969-75 Kansas City MO NSSFC-Lead Severe Storms Forecaster 1975-1997 Norman OK SPC-Lead Severe Storms Forecaster 1997-2011. Married since December 1965 to Susan, 5 grown children,  4 grandchildren. Currently living in Star Valley Ranch WY
