Trees Blown Down Star Valley Ranch Sunday Afternoon

Thunderstorms moved off the Salt Range toward the northwest mid afternoon Sunday accompanied by lightning, a little rain and locally damaging winds. It was discovered this morning that several large fir and aspen trees had been downed by the winds vicinity Green Canyon in Star Valley Ranch about 3:30 pm. While the storms did not show up as very intense on radar a couple of videos from the valley weather cams caught the downburst winds as they crossed the valley.
